Abstract
Граничността като смислов компонент може да бъде част от семантичното съдържание на поредица от думи в естествения човешки език, които изразяват идеята за граница. Синонимите не винаги намират точно съответствие при превод, поради естествената асиметричност между езиците, особено между неродствени езици като български и френски. В доклада са съпоставени две от думите – „граница“ и „предел“ – и е направено обобщение на тяхната асиметричност спрямо „frontière“ и „limite“.Borderline as a meaningful component can be part of the semantic content of a series of words in the natural human language that express the idea of a border. Synonyms do not always find the exact match for translation due to the natural asymmetry between languages, especially between non-native languages such as Bulgarian and French. The report compares two of the words – “boundary” and “limit” – and summarizes their asymmetry with respect to “frontière” and “limit”.
