Abstract

Метою праці «Соціолінгвістичний компендіум» є ознайомлення майбутніх соціологів і філологів, а також осіб зацікавлених цією роблематикою з основними поняттями, проблемами й методами соціолінгвістики — науки, що розвивається на стику мовознавства, соціальної психології та етнографії і вивчає проблеми, пов’язані із соціальною природою мови, її суспільними функціями, механізмом впливу соціальних чинників на мову і роллю мови в житті суспільства. «Соціолінгвістичний компендіум» є доопрацьованим, переробленим і удосконаленим результатом наукових пошуків українськопольського колективу вчених, які представили результати своїх напрацювань у цик лі соціолінгвістичних нарисів.
The goal of the book is to introduce future sociologists and philologists, as well as anyone interested in the field, to the fundamental concepts, issues, and methods of sociolinguistics. This discipline, which evolves at the intersection of linguistics, social psychology, and ethnography, examines problems related to the social nature of language, its societal functions, the mechanisms through which social factors influence language, and the role of language in the life of society. The book is an expanded, revised, and refined result of the scholarly research conducted by a Ukrainian-Polish collective of researchers who have presented their findings in a series of sociolinguistic essays.
