Description: Seria „Prace Slawistyczne. Slavica” ukazuje się od 1977 roku. Jest najstarszą istniejącą serią w Instytucie Slawistyki Polskiej Akademii Nauk, wydawaną najpierw przez Zakład Narodowy im. Ossolińskich, następnie od 1991 roku przez nowo powstałe wydawnictwo IS PAN (Slawistyczny Ośrodek Wydawniczy). W serii dominują monografie językoznawcze, ale publikowane są również prace dotyczące badań literackich. W latach 1977–2025 ukazało się 157 tomów serii. Od 2021 roku seria jest indeksowana w bazie SCOPUS.Appearing since 1977, the series Prace Slawistyczne. Slavica [Monographs in Slavic Studies. Slavica] is the longest-running series of the Institute of Slavic Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences, initially published by the Ossoliński National Institute (Ossolineum), and then since 1991 by the newly-established ISS PAS publishing house (SOW). The series brings together monographs predominantly in linguistics but also in literary studies. 157 volumes appeared between 1977 and 2025. Konferencja odbyła się w dniach 8–10 września 2020 roku w Warszawie, a obrady przeprowadzono zdalnie. W konferencji wzięło udział 29 uczonych słowotwórców z różnych ośrodków naukowych w Austrii, Białorusi, Bośni, Chorwacji, Czechach, Francji, Niemczech, Polsce, Rosji, Serbii, Słowacji, Słowenii, Ukrainie. Świadczy to o aktualności zaproponowanej tematyki i dużym zainteresowaniu słowiańskim i slawistycznym słowotwórstwem. Większość nadesłanych wystąpień znalazło się w tym tomie. Tematyka całego tomu wyznaczona tematem konferencji oscyluje wokół kilku aktualnych problemów dotykających zjawisk zarówno współczesnych, jak i dawnych, z których najistotniejsze to: innowacje słowotwórcze, typy i zmiany mechanizmów powstawania neologizmów, zjawisko globalizacji językowej, pragmatyczne aspekty funkcjonowania języka. Klamrą spajającą bogatą i różnorodną tematykę jest perspektywa komunikacyjna.This monograph is a product of the 20th International Conference of the Commission on Word Formation of the International Committee of Slavists. Entitled “Word Formation in the Communicative Space”, the conference was held in Warsaw on 8–10 September 2020 by the Institute of Slavic Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences, with the proceedings taking place online. The participants were 29 word formation scholars from academic centres in Austria, Belarus, Bosnia, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine. This testifies to the topicality of the proposed subject matter and a considerable interest enjoyed by Slavic and Slavist word formation. This volume brings together most of the presentations sent in by the participants. The subjects touched upon in the volume correspond to the theme of the conference, focusing on a number of topical issues related to both the present and the past, the most important of which include: word-formative innovations, types of and changes in mechanisms of neologism generation, the phenomenon of linguistic globalisation, and pragmatic aspects of language. The volume’s rich and diverse subject matter is unified by the adoption of a communicational perspective.

Konferencja odbyła się w dniach 8–10 września 2020 roku w Warszawie, a obrady przeprowadzono zdalnie. W konferencji wzięło udział 29 uczonych słowotwórców z różnych ośrodków naukowych w Austrii, Białorusi, Bośni, Chorwacji, Czechach, Francji, Niemczech, Polsce, Rosji, Serbii, Słowacji, Słowenii, Ukrainie.
