Pojęcie wieczności wskazuje na eschatologiczny wymiar ludzkiej egzystencji. Stawiając pytania dotyczące istoty ludzkiego bytowania w wymiarze fizycznym i duchowym, przedstawiciele różnych dyscyplin i kultur dążą do uzyskania pełnego obrazu człowieka, jego zdolności przekraczania granicy poznania zmysłowego i wkraczania w sferę rzeczywistości duchowej, czym nadają jej kształt w wymiarze ponadczasowym w postaci kultury, tradycji i historii. book.descriptionThe volume “Dusza w doczesności – dusza w nieskończoności” [The Soul in Temporality – The Soul in Infinity], edited by Ewa Masłowska and Dorota Pazio-Wlazłowska, is the fourth part of the series entitled “Antropologiczno-językowe wizerunki duszy w perspektywie międzykulturowej” [Anthropological and Linguistic Images of the Soul in an Intercultural Perspective]. The volume contains twenty-nine scholarly articles presenting a polyphonic discourse on the temporal aspect of the soul, a concept entangled in various cultural and religious contexts. Reflection on the status of the soul concerns the existence of man and the existence of the universe in the temporal and eternal perspective, existence in space-time “here and now” and “there and hereafter”. The concept of eternity points to the eschatological dimension of human existence. By asking questions about the essence of human existence in the physical and spiritual dimensions, representatives of various disciplines and cultures strive to obtain a full picture of man, his ability to cross the border of sensual cognition and enter the sphere of spiritual reality, thereby giving it a timeless shape in the form of culture, tradition and history. Both cultural heritage, with its intergenerational transmission, as well as initiative in creating reality are the starting point for reflection on the anthropological and linguistic dimension of the soul from the perspective of time.eng
