Tom jest zbiorem artykułów poświęconych opracowaniom słownikowym materiałów gwarowych. Teksty ukazują różnorodne aspekty dorobku słowiańskiej leksykografii gwarowej i stanowią swego rodzaju syntezę dokonań językoznawców z obszaru Słowiańszczyzny. Prezentują najnowsze osiągnięcia badawcze w zakresie prac nad słownictwem gwarowym. Przedstawiono w nich m.in. koncepcje nowych słowników, a także zaawansowanie prac nad już opracowywanymi. Szczególnie ważne jest, że problemy te przedstawiają sami twórcy tych słowników. Istotne są też artykuły o charakterze przeglądowym szczegółowo omawiające spuściznę leksykograficzną poszczególnych krajów słowiańskich.

The volume is a collection of articles dealing with the presentation of dialect material in the form of dictionaries. The texts describe various aspects of Slavic lexicography and constitute a synthesis of the achievement of scholars from the Slavic area. Presented are the latest accomplishments of research on Slavic vocabulary, including the conceptions of new dictionaries and the progress of those that are in the works. Importantly, these developments are discussed by the authors of the dictionaries. Also significant are the articles overviewing the lexicographical legacy of particular Slavic countries.
