Description: Seria „Prace Slawistyczne. Slavica” ukazuje się od 1977 roku. Jest najstarszą istniejącą serią w Instytucie Slawistyki Polskiej Akademii Nauk, wydawaną najpierw przez Zakład Narodowy im. Ossolińskich, następnie od 1991 roku przez nowo powstałe wydawnictwo IS PAN (Slawistyczny Ośrodek Wydawniczy). W serii dominują monografie językoznawcze, ale publikowane są również prace dotyczące badań literackich. W latach 1977–2025 ukazało się 157 tomów serii. Od 2021 roku seria jest indeksowana w bazie SCOPUS.Appearing since 1977, the series Prace Slawistyczne. Slavica [Monographs in Slavic Studies. Slavica] is the longest-running series of the Institute of Slavic Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences, initially published by the Ossoliński National Institute (Ossolineum), and then since 1991 by the newly-established ISS PAS publishing house (SOW). The series brings together monographs predominantly in linguistics but also in literary studies. 157 volumes appeared between 1977 and 2025. The Proto-Slavic Abstractum: Word Formation and Semantics

Abstract

Autorka koncentruje się na badaniu wyodrębnionej w materiale prasłowiańskim szeroko pojętej kategorii onomatoidów - ich genezy, rozwoju i stosunku do nazw konkretnych. [Od Autorki: W niniejszej wersji książki wprowadzono ręcznie niezbędne poprawki, usuwając tym samym powstałe w druku książki błędy leksykalne, ortograficzne i interpunkcyjne. W odpowiednich miejscach wstawiono także konieczne znaki graficzne, zamiast ƃ ma być Ѣ].
The author focuses on the study of the broadly defined category of "onomatoids" within Proto-Slavic material – examining their origins, development, and relationship to concrete nouns. [Author’s Note: In this version of the book, necessary manual corrections have been made to eliminate lexical, spelling, and punctuation errors that occurred during the original printing. Additionally, appropriate graphical characters have been inserted where required; specifically, the character ƃ has been replaced by Ѣ].
